Experience

Dr Lydia Shapira is a medical oncologist with clinical expertise in breast cancer treatment. She is the inaugural Director of Stanford's Cancer Survivorship Program as and previously held the position of editor-in-Chief of the American Society of Clinical Oncology's website, Cancer.Net (2015-2021). Dr. Shapira served on the Board of Directors of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society and as Chair of the Psychosocial Interest Group of the Multinational Society for Supportive Care in Cancer. She has published manuscripts and lectures nationally and internationally assuming the role of Associate Editor in the narrative section, for the Journal of Clinical Oncology (2013 -2023).
