Experience

Athena Manzino, DPT, PT, CLT is a physical therapist, certified lymphedema therapist, and board certified oncologist clinical specialist. Manzino completed her doctor of physical therapy degree at Ithaca College, forming an interest in oncology during her time in school. Following her graduate degree program, she completed an Oncology Physical Therapy Residency, completing rotations in outpatient orthopedic and oncology specialty clinics, acute care oncology, and inpatient rehabilitation. She received additional mentoring in orthopedic oncology and palliative care, as well as lymphedema care for the breast, gynecologic, and head/neck cancers. During her fellowship, Manzino implemented physical therapy in the radiation therapy, proton therapy, and hematology oncology clinics to provide education and outpatient services for patients. Manzino currently serves as a physical therapist at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
